This business can be trash!
Seriously. Hecklers, people offering you ‘exposure’ as payment, online trolls seeking a moment of fame, people who come to live shows but laugh on the inside (please, let it out!) and I can go on and on…But…I will not.
Negativity is always soooo loud. I guess it’s chaotic and I guess confusion can be very stimulating. Right?!?!
I’m going to try and create some positive chaos.
Let’s imagine it.
I share a flyer for an upcoming show.
You go crazy! You’ve been asking me when is my next show. You cannot believe I'll be in Central Florida in May.
You cannot contain your excitement. Chaos as you rummage through your wallet to find your credit card to secure your ticket. Wooosah.
You find it.
Wait! How many tickets do you need? Who’s accompanying you to the show?
Everyone you know because who doesn’t need a good laugh?
Geez! How do you invite your friends and even spread the news to your foes, so they see how good we’re living?
Pandemonium as you struggle to figure out e-mail blasts and whatsapp broadcasts.
Whew! You did it.
Tickets secured. You be outside with your gang gang.
Wait what?!?!? You realize you’re scheduled to work that day?
The tension rises as you come up with a plan. More chaos but it's all good.
Your decision is final.
You’ll play hooky.
Now to sort out your outfit, plan your ride and wait.
You realize you’re impatient. Wooooosah.
You’ve always been impatient but things have a way of happening in and on time.
You add to calendar. Set a reminder. Stick a note on your bathroom mirror. Tell a friend to remind you.
