Lemme tell you a short story

When I started comedy over ten years ago I honestly didn't know what to expect. I must have shared this story a thousand million times. I knew I enjoyed the art of storytelling. I love laughter. I mean, c'mon, who doesn't? A good deep belly laugh is not only medicine for me, it also saves everyone in my path from dealing with the wrath I'd unleash if I couldn't laugh. Feel me? Yeah, you do.

When I initially started this journey I had a very sorta kinda generic logo. You know a mic and a vibe. As the shift began to take shape I realized I needed something more. A visual that represents me.

I took to fiverr (listen....check them out! Chile, those people can deliver!), and after some back and forth my guy came through. I described exactly what I wanted. Provided some images and some thoughts and the end product spoke to me.

Every element of my logo is intentional. The red, white and black represents home.

Every symbol has meaning. The steelpan represents the rhythm of my language. The beat of my swag (Yuh Gyurl have swag for days). The mic is me. My rhythmic voice drenched in red, white and black amplifying our voices in spaces and places we are not usually heard or seen.

I am so proud of my work. So absolutely grateful to you for allowing me to shine. For listening and enjoying and criticizing (yep, that's all a part of the growth) and encouraging and laughing. So damn proud.

Thank you for paying attention. The rhythm and style are intentional.
