I performed to a full house at The Comedy Bar Danforth on a Wednesday! What?!?! Yeah, that’s right. Me. 🙏❤️🙏

When the club confirmed October 1 as

the available date I immediately said yes! The next day I looked at the calendar and saw that October 1 was a Wednesday. Panicked, I emailed asking them to change the date. Who is coming out on a Wednesday to see me? Who? In Toronto? After some deep prayer and plenty woosaahs we decided to move forward with the date. I was like….people pay $$$$ to ‘see’ Beyoncé on a Monday! What’s $50 to see me on a Wednesday.

Well honey, we had a full house!

Full disclosure, I hate selling tickets. I hate ‘harassing’ people to buy tickets. Lawd fadda. Each time before I send a message or make a post I have to trick myself into thinking I’m going it for my annoying boss who has promised me a big bonus. The only thing is….i am the boss and there is no bonus unless I do the work. Fortunately for me’ ‘I’ don’t know the truth so I keep working. You see, I’ve gotten really good at tricking myself.

One thing for certain? I have an army that moves to support me. An army, you hear? My Tribe called BESS nevah disappoints. Oh God I thank you. I must have done something good and wonderful in my life.

Sometimes it’s the people that you meet when you’re walking down the street for real! Sesame Street eh lie.

I’m still giddy from it all.
